“Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.” ~ Acts 20:23 

Three years ago the Lord enabled me to purchase a new car. I had one or two specific features that I was looking for in a car, but the Lord included a host of others that were not even on my list! One of those features is ‘surround sound’. The audio system has speakers, not only in the dashboard, but in the sides of the doors as well. When I am enjoying Christian music, a podcast, or just talking on the phone via Bluetooth, those speakers provide me the clearest sound possible. 

I will often have people speak to me after a service and tell me that what I preached that day was almost exactly the same thing they had read in the Bible just a day or so prior. Or they had just been talking with someone about that very thing. I will often respond by saying, “I love it when the Lord speaks to me in ‘surround sound’!” 

That very thing happened to me today! I was reading in Genesis 18 where the Lord encouraged Abraham and Sarah with the words, “Is any thing too hard for the LORD?” A little later I read an article that addressed the exact same truth! Surround Sound! What a help and encouragement it is when God reinforces His leadership and counsel in that way! As Paul journeyed to Jerusalem, he too experienced God’s ‘surround sound’. It was God’s way of preparing him for the battles ahead.  

May we learn to take greater notice of God’s leadership in our lives! He is speaking to you, often surrounding you with His voice! Are you listening?
